Specifying a Lost Password Recovery Method

When the user opens the sign-in page, Community Server provides a link for the user to request a forgotten password.

Community Server supports two methods for users to reset their passwords:

• Reset – Community Server generates a new password, which is emailed to the user.
• Link – Community Server emails a link to the user, which the user follows to create a new password.

Procedure

1. Navigate to Control Panel > System Administration > Membership Administration > Configuration > Account Settings.
2. Scroll down to the Password Recovery setting.

3. Select the recovery method.
4. Click Save.
