Adding a User Rank

User ranks provide you with a way to measure how active your users are on your site. By creating user ranks, you can then rank your users according to the number of posts they have added to your community.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Control Panel Dashboard > System Administration > Site Administration > Site Configuration > Posting Performance > Manage Ranks.

  3. Specify the rank properties.
    • Name - Name for the rank.
    • Min Posts – Minimum number of posts a user most make to achieve the rank.
    • Max Posts – Maximum number of posts a user can make and remain within the rank.
    • Rank Icon - Upload an image file to be displayed for the rank. To upload an image, you must ensure that the identity under which IIS runs has modify permissions to the Utility\RankIcons folder on the file system. Typically this is the Network Service account. In shared hosting environments, you may be able to set this permission in the hosts control panel or you may have to request it from the host support service.
  4. Click Save.
