Community Server allows you to upload photo or video to your media gallery. Community Server also supports a quick upload function in which Community Server uses the name of the uploaded file as the title.
The quick upload function allows you to upload a file to a media gallery without being forced to apply any properties for the file. When you quick upload a file, Community Server assigns the file name as the title of file, and truncating long file names. After you quick upload a file, you can edit the file properties, including the title.
You can specify the properties for your media gallery to enable or disable RSS feeds, file and comment moderation, and user ratings.
Community Server provides you a media gallery management function so you can manage your media gallery files, tags, and comments. Using the media gallery management function you can publish, unpublish, edit, and delete files, tags, and comments.
Use the following procedure to edit media gallery files.
You can retrieve download information for any of your media gallery uploaded files. This information includes the users who downloaded the file and the user email address, the number of times users have downloaded the file, the date on which users last downloaded the file.
You can create tags for your media gallery when you upload a file and from the media gallery tag management page. When you create a tag from the media gallery tag management page, it is not assigned to a media gallery file. If you want to add the tag to a file, you must edit the file to do so.
You can add a tag to a media gallery file at any time using the Community Server interface.
The Comment Editor allows you to manage user comments to your blog posts and media gallery files. You can use the Comment Editor to add moderating notes to the comment or delete offensive words from the comment.
