To administer media galleries, you must log on to Community Server with an administrative account.
Media gallery groups allow you to arrange gallery files into ordered groups. You must create a media gallery group before you can create a media gallery.
A media gallery contains media files such as photos. Because all galleries are associated with media gallery groups, you must create a media gallery group before you can create a media gallery.
The media gallery global user permissions page allows you to specify site-wide permissions for media galleries in your community. You can specify default permissions for each user role that has access to your blog. Such permissions include view, edit and delete permissions, as well as download, upload and reply permissions.
You can set user permissions for a specific forum that will override the global media gallery user permissions. You can specify default permissions for each user role that has access to your media galleries. Such permissions include read/write access, permission to comment on blogs, and attaching videos and other files to blogs.
After you add the new media gallery, Community Server adds additional tabs on which you can specify additional gallery settings.
