Enabling Multi-Authoring for Blogs

The multi-author feature allows gives permission to specific users to create posts on a blog. You can also specify that all blog authors be notified of feedback on the blog.

Procedure

You can enable mutli-authoring when you create a blog or you can enable the setting for an existing blog. The following procedure describes how to enable the setting for an existing blog.

  1. Navigate to Control Panel Dashboard > System Administration > Blog Administration > Blogs. The list of blogs displays in the workspace.
  2. Click Edit for the blog for which you want to enable the multi-author functionality. The Blog Setup page displays.
  3. In the Authors text field, enter the user names of the users you want to give authoring permission.

    Community Server searches the database for the user. Click on the user name to add it to the field.

    To remove the user, click on the x to the left of the user name.

  4. Click Save. At this point, you have enabled the multi-author functionality. Continue at Step 5 to enable the email notification for all the blog authors.
  5. Navigate to Control Panel Dashboard > Manage My Blogs > Manage > Posts. The list of posts displays in the workspace.
  6. Click Edit for the post for which you want to enable the multi-author notification setting.
  7. Navigate to the Comments & Feedback tab.
  8. In the Email Notifications section, set the Multi-user blogging value to Yes.

  9. Click Save.
