Requesting Group Membership

You can request membership to a group in the Web community if the group is public. If the group is private, the request membership option will not be available to you. The request membership option displays when you open the group you want to join.

When your request to join a group is accepted, you receive an email notification confirming your membership and the group displays in the Your Groups section of the right sidebar on your Home page.

Procedure

1. Open the group you want to join.
2. From the main page, scroll down the right sidebar to the Join This Group section. 

   

3. Click Join This Group. Community Server displays a confirmation message that you have become a member of the group.

The group displays in the Groups section of your Dashboard.
